This charity golf event and concert started out with more celebrities advertised than they ended up with. I don’t know what the issue was, but maybe it should have been a red flag when Vince Neil was advertised then removed from the bill several weeks later. There were still quite a few rockers from the 80’s and early 90’s left on the bill, including Hugh McDonald, Phil Varone, Frank Hannon, Troy Lucketta, Mark Slaughter, Jeff Blando, Niel Zaza, John Nymann and Jeff Watson and plenty of folks signed up to golf with them. The teams seemed to have a great time, and everyone met up for an award ceremony and dinner. The food was pretty good, but the prizes were kind of sad in my opinion. After the award ceremony, they had a vendor with beer & BBQ on the lawn for all the people coming to the show. Local bands started playing during the golf tourney, with the Frank Hannon and Slaughter playing towards evening. I can honestly say that the attendance was the most pathetic I’ve ever seen at a show with these bands. It was pretty obvious that that there was almost no promotion involved, which made me feel bad for the bands playing that night. Despite the low attendance, the bands gave it their all and seemed to have a blast on stage. Artists that weren't slated to perform stayed around and jammed with those who were The fans that showed up had a rare treat.
